Data Management

Introduction
On "Data Management" page, you can import and export account data, and perform backup & restore.

Account Data
In "Account Data" section, you can import and export account data.

Export Account Data
You can export account data by clicking "Export" button. The hardware id, boot tick, student name, device id, date of birth, comment, special flag, stolen flag, and expiration date of all accepted TD Agent will be exported.

Import Account Data
You can import account data by clicking "Import" button and select the account data file. The account import can only be performed on TD Server locally.

Backup & Restore
In "Backup & Restore" section, you can backup and restore database and Server Credential Files.

Backup
After clicking "Backup" button, "Backup" page will be popped up.

On the page, you can backup database and Server Credential Files to Central Server or local host. After clicking "Backup" button, the backup result will be displayed on backup result page.

Local backup location can be configured by "/etc/theftdeterrent/TDServer_backup.properties".

Note
When backup database, all tables except "Log" table will be backed up.
Server Credential Files can not be backed up to Central Server from UI. Because during activation, TDS sends its key pair to Central Server to be signed, Central Server does have Server Credential Files backup.

Restore
After clicking "Restore" button, "Restore" page will be popped up.

On the page, can restore database and Server Credential Files from Central Server or local host.

If you select to restore from Central Server, the latest 3 backup files will be displayed in the DDL. Select your desired one and click "Restore" button. Your Central Server login password will be needed.
Note: Server Credential Files can be restored from Central Server, although it can not be backed up TDS. Because during activation, TDS sends its key pair to Central Server to be signed, Central Server does have Server Credential Files backup.

If you select to restore from local host, the latest 3 backup files will be displayed in the DDL. Select your desired one and click "Restore" button.

After clicking "Restore" button, restore confirmation page will be popped up.
